Chisholm

The ones in bold are the direct ancestors of Rowan Ainslie Chisholm (me) -- which mostly means they are usually the ones which I have the most information and the most accurate information on. The ones with links have pages of their own with more information.
I did not do all the research myself. Accuracy varies, naturally, even among the sources I checked myself.

For those who are living, I'll make a note that says (living). Times being what they are, the information could be too easily misused. The only exception is my name, so you'll know where I fit in the list.

1. unknown Chisholm. Possibly named Simon or Alexander. Possibly a retired soldier from the British side of the Revolutionary war, or the son of same. Probably lived East River, Nova Scotia. It is not proven that Angus and Alexander Chisholm (which I've listed as his sons) are brothers, but given that they were listed together twice in a book about the area, I adopted this as a working hypothesis.
1. Angus Chisholm. Born about 1809. Married Christena Ross. He died 15 April 1846 (at 37 years) and was buried in Salem Cemetery, River John, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was born about 1814/1815 in Nova Scotia. She died 24 December 1880 aged 66 years.

2. John Chisholm. Born 5 November 1840, River John, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Married Annie Gordon Matheson in 1840. He died 1919 in Fall City, King County, Washington, USA, and his ashes were taken back to Nova Scotia. She was born 1842 in Roger's Hill, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She died 22 December 1884.
