Pete Anderson |
|
Pete Anderson was a house painter from Sweden who lived up on the Lake Marie plateau outside of Fall City from the early 1900s to the 1940s. He shared a small farm with Bill Carnahan and Nels (Nelson?). He had been friends with my family and so we inherited his collection of negatives when he passed on.
This is where Osters live now.
Please note that living creatures tend to be blurry at the slow shutter speeds of old-time cameras.
NOTES:
These are the three bachelors on the hill that my mother wrote about in her poem that went:
There were two boys lived on the hill
Bachelor Pete and Bachelor Bill;
And sure as the sun came up each day,
When they awoke, each one would say,
"Good morning, Pete," "Good morning, Bill"
Bachelor Neal, who lived there, too,
Spoke only when he said, "Kerchoo!"
Photographers: Pete Anderson & probably Bill Carnahan or Nels ?
