Filter Forge Samples & Link Page |
|
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to my gallery of filter pictures!
These were done using filters that I made in Filter Forge 2.0. I showing examples of how they came out using real photos and renders so you can see better how these fit with the world.

|
Actually, Filter Forge has a page showing all of my filters. However, that's just links and this one has a few hints & tips as well as some more "real world" examples especially for the photo filters.
Filter Forge page:
Rowan54's page
Psychodelic
This is a PHOTO EDITING filter.
The final depends on what photo
(or other picture) you use and which
variant of the filter you use with it.
Bad Dream
This is a PHOTO EDITING filter.
The final depends on what photo
(or other picture) you use and which
variant of the filter you use with it.
Lots of controls.
Total Protonic Reversal
This is a PHOTO EDITING filter.
The final depends on what photo
(or other picture) you use and which
variant of the filter you use with it.
Lots of controls.
Photo Graffiti
This is a PHOTO EDITING filter.
It gives the effect of a photo on a brick wall.
There are "x" and "y" controls to move a highlighting oval
around so that you can highlight the section of the photo
that you wish to.
An item with a transparent background ("hello" and "gull")
will appear to be more painted on the surface. "Gull" was
previously edited with the "Psychodelic" filter as well.
Brick patterns, size and roundness can also be edited.
Simple Matching Frames
This one is a FRAME. It has things happening around
the edge, but your own picture (unaltered) is in the
middle.
This frame matches the color of your picture for part of
the frame, and has a neutral color for the rest.
Use the "size" parameter for adjusting frame width.
purple picture, purple frame
neutral picture, neutral frame
Bright & Dark
This one is a UTILITY for PHOTOS.
I use a lot of layers in Photoshop and sometimes would like to edit one layer.
The only brightness controls I know of edit the whole document, not just the one layer.
A filter will edit only the one layer.
At the default setting, 1 is red, 2 is green, 3 is blue...and 50 is the brightness & contrast
settings the item came with.
You can tweak until it is lighter, darker or whatever.
Or you can hit the "next variant" button and get really weird colorings for your item. Your choice.
Photo Blizzard
This one is both a frame and an edit.
Basically, we have the photo/artwork in miniature a zillion times as the background.
In the foreground there are up to four small pictures which you can scoot around and change the size of
to fit your needs.
The numbers go from 1-500, so half way across the picture is 250. (Sorry, only seems to work on squares.)
X is across, Y is up and down.
Random just moves the pictures around. I didn't put in edits for the background.
This would work really well for a photo or picture where there are several faces and you want
to emphasis just the faces and not the background.
Transparent backgrounds
come out white.
Kaleidoscope Cloth
This is a PATTERN filter, which stands alone.
You do not have to have a photo to start it.
These are SAMPLES of the possibilities.
They can be made SEAMLESS if you
start with a SQUARE document.
You also can adjust the starting colors
and the size of the pattern.
